Richard Pearce purchased Northern Miner in 1916 in first year of publication,
out of Cobalt. expanded facilities after WWII.
His brother returned from war to join him in 1920.
They were co-owners and editors.
40,000 circulation.
Exciting! then 1929 stockmarket crash. moved to Toronto
Survived great depression.
Went on... signed off actively in 49.
